The disastrous earthquake followed by the tsunami took nearly 20,000 lives and destroyed buildings and infrastructure. Unfortunately the tsunami also inundated the Fukushima Daichi NPP. This was a big drawback to the use of nuclear energy for providing sufficient, sustainable and reliable energy to mankind. I expect that Japan will upgrade their NPPs in order to take them into operation again. Only with Nuclear Power plants can Japan provide the required amount of CO2-free electricity to help combat climate change. In spite of three simultaneous melt-downs in Fukushima, nobody was harmed by radiation. Together with WiNs experts we help to implement the safety culture in all NPPs worldwide.
